We offer two different sailing courses.
Intro to Sailing
In this 2 hour course, you will learn the parts of a sailboat and other basic sailing terms. We will get out on the water and cover all the basics of raising and trimming sails as well as steering and navigating on Puget Sound.
Fundamentals of Sailing
Fundamentals of Sailing is a four hour course that begins on the dock and then head out to the Sound for hands on training. You will learn the basics of the boat, trimming the sails and the different points of sail. We will also cover “rules of the road”, navigation and boating safety.

Let us answer some of you questions!
Each lesson we start on the dock and learn our way around the boat and basic safety skills. Then we head out into the Sound for hands on sailing. You will practice how to use the wind, tacking, basic navigation and steering.
Comfortable clothes as you will be moving about the boat. A light jacket as it can be chilly on the water. Boat shoes or light sole tennis shoes are best. Gloves are optional.
